Operation Harling

On this day (November 25th) in 1942, British SOE and Greek resistance groups blow up the Gorgopotamos viaduct on the Athens-Salonika railway. Code-named “Operation Harling”, it was one of the first major acts of sabotage in Axis-controlled territory during World War 2.
